A fire started by an inmate tore through a severely overcrowded Honduras prison, burning and suffocating inmates in their locked cells and killing as many as 356 people in one of the world's deadliest prison.
Officials confirmed 358 dead Wednesday, making it the world's deadliest prison fire in a century. An injured inmate is carried as he arrives at the hospital after a fire broke out at the prison in Comayagua, Honduras, a town 90 miles (140 kilometers).
