93rd Annual Veterans Day Parade in San Jose. Mayor Chuck Reed will participate in the annual Veterans Day Parade hosted by The United Veterans Council of Santa Clara County. The Staging Area will be located at the parking lot next to the San Jose Water.
Veterans Day started, in the United States, 11 November 1919, as Armistice Day, on the one year anniversary of the end of the Great War (World War I).
Every Veterans Day, some American businesses offer special deals as a show of appreciation for the Military. Applebee's is again offering a free meal to military veterans and active-duty service members on Veteran's Day, this Friday.
Veterans Day will be observed Friday in several ceremonies and memorials throughout the county. The Butler County Veterans Service Commission will hold both its Veterans Day.
