Texans optimistic Arian Foster will be ready for season opener. Arian Foster, who led the NFL in rushing in 2010, re-aggravated a hamstring injury Saturday in an exhibition against the 49ers in San Francisco. Houston Coach Gary Kubiak says Arian Foster should be OK for the September 11 opener with Indianapolis.
Texans running back Arian Foster, last season's NFL rushing champion, was forced out against the 49ers after aggravating a left hamstring injury during the first quarter. It's the same hamstring that Foster hurt during his first practice of training camp.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Saturday night that he is "hopeful" Arian Foster hamstring will be ready for Week 1. Kubiak did confirm Arian Foster's latest hamstring injury is to the same leg left that cost him 11 days of camp earlier this month.
Arian Foster was born on August 24, 1986, he is an American football running back for the Houston Texans. He was signed by the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and was added to their active roster from the practice squad on November 17, 2009. He played college football at Tennessee. Foster is known for his signature bow when he scores a touchdown.
